Local IGA Wiluna is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Retail Assistants to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment in Wiluna, WA 6646. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our store's day-to-day operations. This position offers flexibility and the chance to build valuable retail experience while contributing to our business's success.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional assistance throughout their shopping experience

• Processing transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems

• Restocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure the store is well-organised and visually appealing

• Assisting customers in locating products and answering questions about merchandise

• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store

• Handling cash and card payments with accuracy

• Following company policies and procedures to ensure smooth store operations

• Supporting the team to meet sales targets and business objectives

 

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues

• Reliability and flexibility with the ability to work varying hours as required for casual employment

• Enthusiasm, energy and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service

• Basic numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
