• Low Stress Stock Handling, Monitoring and Movements
• Pen walking, Diagnosis, and treatments
• Inductions and Outturn-drafting, weighing, loading.
• Record keeping,
• Prepare, mix, load and deliver rations according to batching sheet.
• Cleaning, Repairs and Maintenance of Feedlot & Farm Infrastructure
• Responsible use and upkeep of Machinery and Equipment
• Tractor driving, sowing & harvest operations, irrigation.
• Weekly staff meetings and planning
• Collaborate with Farm Owners/Operators.

The roster consists of 10 days on 4 days off. During peak times you may be required to do additional hours.

It is envisaged the successful applicant will also bring their experience and knowledge to the table to grow the business, your input will be encouraged.

The Ideal Candidate would have the following characteristics:

• Experience in a similar role, can problem solve and progressive.
• Cattle health, handling, and calving knowledge
• Machinery operation experience and mechanical aptitude
• Open drivers’ license
• Record-keeping skills, computer literate
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn, diligent, a focus for attention to detail, works with a team and individually.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

Experience:

• cattle handling and health diagnosis: 3 years (Preferred)

• English (Preferred)
