Warm and relaxed single-parent family in Coffs Harbour, NSW is looking for a caring au pair or demi pair to help with before- and after-school care for two lovely children aged 4 and 9. The role offers a generous private living space with ensuite.

We are a warm, easy-going single-parent family living in Coffs Harbour, NSW, looking to welcome a kind, responsible au pair or demi pair into our home.

Mum works as a podiatrist and shares care of her two children with their dad. The children are 9 and 4 years old, active, outdoorsy and creative, and love spending time at the beach, playing sport, doing art and craft, and enjoying relaxed family time like movie nights and baking together.

Because the children spend part of the time with their dad, this placement offers a great balance between family time and quieter periods, perfect for an au pair who’d like flexibility to travel, study, or work part-time alongside the role.

🕒 The role

The role focuses on before- and after-school care, including:

• Morning routines and school drop-offs
• Afternoon pick-ups and time together after school
• Helping with snacks, playtime and activities
• Light household help related to the children

The schedule runs on a fortnightly rotation:

• Week One: approx. 30 hours
• Week Two: approx. 14 hours
• Fortnight total: around 44 hours

Although weekly hours vary, pocket money remains the same each week, providing consistency and stability.

Someone caring, calm and confident with children, who enjoys being active and outdoors but also values a relaxed, respectful home environment. The family is very welcoming and happy to include you in activities, while also fully respecting your independence.

Start date: End of January (flexible for the right person).
